My current target

Your Target Lane (Next 90 Days)

Primary Track: Credit Risk Reporting / Portfolio Analytics
Secondary Exposure: Operational Risk concepts (light touch)

No more floating.

What This Role Actually Requires (Concrete List)

You asked for a full inventory. Here it is — clean and structured.

🔹 TECHNICAL STACK (Must Build)

1. Banking & Credit Knowledge

You should be comfortable explaining:

  • Loan lifecycle

  • Retail vs corporate lending

  • SMA / NPA classification

  • Provisioning basics

  • Credit rating basics

  • Delinquency buckets (30/60/90 DPD)

  • Portfolio concentration risk

  • Vintage analysis

  • Basic RBI norms (for India context)

No deep theory.
Working clarity.

2. Excel (High Priority)

You must be strong in:

  • Pivot tables

  • XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH

  • IF / SUMIFS / COUNTIFS

  • Conditional formatting

  • Cleaning messy datasets

  • Basic dashboard creation

If you don’t build this, you block yourself.

3. SQL (Medium-High Priority)

You should know:

  • SELECT

  • WHERE

  • GROUP BY

  • JOIN

  • Aggregations (SUM, COUNT, AVG)

  • Basic subqueries

Not advanced.
Just reporting-level.

4. Basic Risk Metrics

Understand conceptually:

  • PD (Probability of Default)

  • LGD

  • EAD

  • Cost of risk

  • Risk-adjusted return

  • Portfolio yield vs loss

Even if not modeling them.

🔹 BEHAVIOURAL STACK (Critical for You)

You must practice:

  • Clear communication (short, structured answers)

  • STAR method stories

  • Calm explanation of SBI exit

  • Not overpromising

  • Asking for data instead of panicking

You burn out because you over-identify with performance.

We fix that.

🔹 PROFESSIONAL POSITIONING

You need:

  • One-page resume aligned to risk analytics

  • LinkedIn headline aligned

  • 3 job titles you consistently apply for

  • Weekly application target (fixed number)

No random browsing.

🔹 EXECUTION SYSTEM (This is Your Superpower)

You already succeed with spreadsheets.

So you will create:

1. Career Master Sheet

Tabs:

  • Skills tracker

  • Job tracker

  • Interview Q bank

  • Learning log

2. Weekly Template

Example:

Mon–Fri:

  • 45 min Excel

  • 30 min Credit concepts

  • 20 min SQL (3x per week)

  • 15 min interview prep

Saturday:

  • Resume refinement / applications

Sunday:

  • Review + light revision

No daily re-deciding.
Only execution.

Now I’m Going to Correct Something Gently

Your freeze wasn’t because you’re incapable.

It was because you were trying to:

  • Be ready for everything

  • Decide everything

  • Improve everything

  • Without a defined role

That overwhelms anyone.

Structure reduces fear.
